"Follow your passions and they will speak your voice to the world." ~ Cheryl
It is true. Finding your purpose and passion in life is a life-changing shift. I’m Cheryl and Growing the Tree IS my passion and purpose in life because it is directly attached to the people in my life that I love and care about most – my children! Being a parent to children that have neurodevelopmental struggles is a very hard road – especially going it alone. There is so much “out there” on how to do this or that for them, that soon the parent/caregiver is starting to wilt. It happens and I’ve been there myself. I started this blog as a way for me to connect my thoughts and vent them in a safe place. To get the questions I had out and be productive with my own creativity. It has grown into something bigger than that over the years and now I am using my voice to connect with others who are in similar situations and using my experiences to give options and inspiration to others.
Life is a beautiful and messy journey ~ however, it is yours to design and yours to live fully no matter the situation. Being a complete person is ESSENTIAL to the growth and development of your children. You can’t grow a baby tree if you do not water your own roots first ~ that is a hard life lesson to wrap your brain around isn’t it? Is was for me….and now I know differently and see the shift everyday in my own family.
I look forward to serving you well and building relationships in this beautiful community called appropriately “Growing the Tree”.
